About me
I received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering with an intelligent system specialization from Laval University (Quebec, QC, Canada) in 2002. I then worked as software developer and a researcher in image analysis and computer vision for Regent Instruments inc. from 2002 to 2003. I joined the Computer Vision and Systems Laboratory (CVSL), Laval University, as a Master student in 2003. I completed my Master's degree in Electrical Engineering in 2005, along with a Russian language certificate of studies. I then pursued my graduate studies at Laval University, where I completed a PhD degree in electrical engineering in 2012. Thereafter, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Laboratory for Applied Computer Vision Algorithms (ACVA), Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Victoria (Victoria, BC, Canada), from 2012 to 2015. My research interests were focused on computer vision-based motion tracking and analysis, remote sensing, and pattern recognition.
After I completed my postdoctoral fellowship, I worked for 3 years as a computer vision specialist and a project manager at Centre de Robotique et de Vision Industrielles (CRVI) in Lévis (QC). From 2018 to 2020, I worked as a Research Scientist at Stradigi AI (Montréal, QC). Since December 2020, I have been working as a computer vision and AI researcher at Mirametrix (Montréal, QC).
My personal interests include fractal geometry, chaos theory, mathematics, and open source software.
